When a referral makes sense

It’s below your size

A past client asks you to redo one bathroom. It isn’t worth mobilizing for, and saying no costs you the relationship. You keep the client without running the job.

The request is for another trade

You’re closing out an addition and the owner asks who does pools. It isn’t your trade and you don’t want to carry it. Send it over.

The job’s outside your area

You work in Phoenix, but a customer’s family needs help in Tucson. Share the location so we can check who serves it.

You hear about work you won’t manage

A supplier, a property manager or another pro mentions a job. Start with what you know. You don’t have to share anyone’s details until you’ve asked them.

From referral to payment in seven steps. Before the introduction: the customer agrees, you send the project privately, we review and match on trade, location, budget and timing, and your share is agreed. After the introduction: the customer meets a relevant pro, the success fee is collected under the agreed terms, and your share is paid once FindAZPros has collected.

What happens after you send it

  1. Tell us what came up

    Start with the work and city. Choose “Work through me first” if you’d rather keep the customer’s contact details to yourself for now.

  2. We review it with you by email

    We’ll talk about who could take it and settle your cut before anyone is introduced. Questions? Just reply to the email we send you.

  3. The receiving pro handles the job

    After the intro, they work out the price and the dates with the customer. You get your cut once we’ve been paid, on the terms we agreed.

Your confirmation email includes a referral reference. Keep it handy when you follow up.

How your referral share works

The standard share is half of the referral fee we collect. Here’s an example of what that could look like.

Example only. Your cut comes out of the fee we collect, not the price of the job, and the job itself can be worth a lot more. Sending someone over doesn’t guarantee the work gets done or that anyone gets paid.

Can I refer a job without sharing my customer’s contact details?
Yes. Choose “Work through me first” and tell us what work is needed and in which city. We’ll email you to discuss it. You can arrange the introduction later.
What is my referral share?
The standard share is half of the referral fee FindAZPros collects. We’ll agree on your share before making an introduction. The project price isn’t used to calculate your share.
When would I get paid?
After FindAZPros collects the referral fee, according to the terms we agreed on. Sending a referral doesn’t guarantee a match, a completed job or a payment.
Who handles the quote and the work?
The pro who takes the referral handles the quote and work with the customer. FindAZPros helps arrange the introduction. You don’t have to manage the job you pass along.
Can I join without a project to refer yet?
Yes. Choose “I want to refer in the future” in the form. We’ll ask for your name and email so we can discuss the program.
What if I’m ready to share the customer’s details?
Ask your customer first. Then choose to share their contact details in the project step. We’ll review the referral with you before arranging an introduction. Their details stay off the public boards.
