Question for licensed roofing contractors My home builder is trying to tell me that my underlayment, which was left exposed for quite a long time (the house was built at the tail end of covid where the supply chain was interrupted and so the underlayment went on and then sat exposed for a long time). It's Torah 40, which apparently the manufacturer States can be left exposed for 180 days Another roofing company came out and said that all the dried brown areas were indicative of premature aging from overexposure and were basically the felt being cooked and being made dried, brown, and brittle. The home builder is asserting that it's just accumulated dust from monsoons Looking for a truly independent perspective on this, someone who's not trying to sell me a $60,000 roof, and also someone who's not trying to tell me to not worry about my roofing problems!
